Scoobysport Pagid Group N Discs & Pads??
#1
Can anyone tell me if the above are any good. I do a lot of track days at the Nurburgring and have recently warped my std discs. My main concern is that any replacements that I buy will not suffer the same fate, but of course any improvement in performance will be greatly received.
Thanks in advance for your comments/advice,
James

Not done track days with them yet, but I have the Pagid discs and pads (pads all round, discs front only) plus Goodrich hoses, Dot 5.1 fluid... and 2 pot calipers... much, much better than standard and no squealing.
All the best,
Simon.

I think I can also comment here.
First ever mod i did (MY00 4pots) was pagid "blue" pads and Pagid grooved disks (i think 8 grooves not the 16 option)from demon tweeks. I also bought Goodridge brake lines an put DOT 5.1 fluid. The pedal feel was immediatly better. After careful bedding in not a lot of squeel too. Braking performance also much better but the "blue" need to be warmed up to bite 100% but ok when cold as well just not as good. My mates have tryed all sorts of types combinations with std 4 pots: Tarox, EBC, Mintex u name it they did it but by concensus my brakes had the better feel.
However be warned that when i bought 2nd hand from scoobynet (have to admit i was lucky, JohnS was a gent and his brakes AAA) an AP 330 set the difference was amazing. With hindsight and as u seem o visit tracks please take my advice and go for a AP/ALCON/MOVIT setup its the best mod I ever did to the car and beleive me I made a few...
Hope that helps

Thanks for the advice guys and I take your point about the AP kit, but I really don't want to go for a larger disc. It would work out to at least 2000 quid by the time wheels and tyres are done, and I really dont want to spend that much money on the car....I'm gonna upgrade to a 911 at some point in the furure.
It seems that the Pagid kit gets a good concencus all round....as long as Scoobysport say that the 12 month guarantee includes track days then I'll go for it.

Standard Disc and pads Warpped
EBC Disc with EBC reds... excellent but went thought to many pads
EBC Disc with Padig pads warpped
Padig Disc and Padig pads Warpped them after 4 laps
MRT Disc and DS2000 Great
Best setup I have had was MRT disc's with DS2000 did 3 track days with them and no problem.
My last track day was Bedford and I finally Warpped them there ... but thats my fault as I had to brake REALLY hard on a corner and then didn't give them enough time to cool down before entering the next corner so I have now warpped them (
Now going for Godspeed

James,
I have the Scoobysport Grp N+ kit fitted to my Terzo.
I wanted to keep everything as original as poss. 16" wheels, calipers etc but still improve the std kit.
The SS stuff realy does the biz. Major improvement on feel & fade on spirited use
