Default Wheel sizes and width's?

Hi, im new to this forum, and new to scoobs so looking for a bit of advice.

just bought a subaru impreza classic, and wanting to fit some Rota Grid Drifts but dont know what size to get.

Been told these are the options....5x100: 17x7.5 or 18x8.5 or 18x9.5.

7.5 is way too narrow, but wandering weather the 18's will look too big?

Any advice will be appreciated!

Thanks.

Well your restricted to your tyres without rubbing, so the 17x7 or 17x7.5 are about as good as it gets I think, tyre sizes on the 17's will be either of the 2, 205/45/17 or 215/40/17.
Any wider and you can have issues with rubbing.

you wont get grid drifts on a classic without arch work . the widest you can go on 18s is really 18x8.0 and run 215,35.18 tyres

17s are a better choice and run 215.40.17 tyres
