hi
just about to replace factory bridgestones at 15000
fronts are about 2.5 mil and backs about 3.8 mil
still plenty grip, but tramlining is unbearable.
ive read a few posts concerning toyos or f1s and am still undecided.
im going to change all 4 and the prices i have are:
£280 for f1s fitted etc
and £360 for toyos fitted etc.
what id like to know is wether the extra £80 for toyos is worth it?
cheers

On my old car (MY00) I ran the standard Bridgestone REO10s on 16" rims (pile of pooh to be honest - too hard) and then S02 PPs and then Toyo's on 17" rims. Not much in it to be honest. Both the SO2s and Toyos were very good tyres. The dry grip of the Toyo's was amazing.
The only thing I would say at the moment is that Goodyear have now withdrawn the current F1 tread pattern, so stocks will be getting low (plus Goodyear are in a lot of trouble financially). This might be an issue if you were unlucky enough to damage a tyre in a couple of months time and wanted to source a spare one.
A new F1 pattern will be available, but the price is going up (certainly the case with th 18" version, so I've no reason to doubt that it will affect all sizes). I was going to fit 18" F1s to my new MY01 WRX (replacing the Pzeros) but I had problems sourcing them, so I've now fitted S03 PPs (I would have also considered Toyo's but time was against me and the S03s were readily available).
To be honest you won't regret getting the Toyo's they are very good tyres.
