Biggest OEM brake package for MY99 Classic under (RB5) 17's?
Hi all
Going up to a 17" (RB5) wheel from the OEM 16" ones. Currently got the OEM 4 pot setup on the front but not too happy with it (haven't compared to another car though, so could be crap pads or something else).
I'm a fan of re-using OEM parts so is there a larger disc package I can run with either my existing calipers or an improved caliper from another model? Eg a bracket/disc conversion..
Cheers

godspeed 335mm kit should fits behind 17" rb5 rims (speedline cronos i believe there called) . had them fitted on my car with volks te37 not a lot of room left but never had any clearance problems and you use the oem 4 pots with a spacer fitted to widen the caliper as the disc are quiet a bit wider.
or maybe the alcon calipers with 330mm discs
hope this helps

Thanks! The godspeed conversion is right up my street. I'd love to know if they definitely fit under the RB5 alloys though!
Any other options folks?

Yeah, did do that and now know why no reply
I did see another chap on here had issues with this conversion and RB5 alloys and couldn't fit the pad retainer clips, but I think Ian has a re-bend pattern to get around this.. will hopefully find out soon
