Default Performance Friction pads fell to bits

My brakes started to groan a bit and rub as i pulled away after braking so today i had a look to see what was wrong and found this

they are performance friction pads been on less than a year with 4 trackdays. The pad has a lot of meat left on it but came away from the backing plate and broke in two.

Anyone ever had this before? I'm a bit peed off

I had PF pads and discs and the exact same happened to me they just crumbled Because of the damage to the pads they messed up the discs as well. Took them off and got some Godspeed discs and pads and they have been fine.

Utter $hite are PF if you ask me and I will never have them again!

Had a very similar looking problem happen to me on my Fazer600 with factory fitted pads "sumitomo btw so not a small manufacturer", it's a known problem where the edge of the pad material to backing plate allows moisture in and the subsequent rust then delaminates the pad. Only found out when removing the front wheel to replace the tyre and one pad fell out as i removed the wheel, the other one fell apart when i went to remove the retaining pins. Crapped myself as i had just been out for a blast.
