Powder coating or paint?
Going to get my wheels refurbed soon, and was wondering which is better, powder coating or paint ?

My std. STI alloys are powder coated silver, but it's a bit flat, compared to silver paint. My "Pretty" wheels were sprayed black and have a lovely shine.

Thanks Dunx, perhaps paint is the way to go then. Is the powder coating lacqured? Do you suffer with chips etc?

The wheels are used through the winter and on track so aint pretty. No chips, no lacquer.

powder coating is stronger but paint has a better finish in some cases

powder coating , then have it lacquered ...the finnish should be better than just painting
