Default Subaru 4Pots (Front)

i have just replaced my discs and pads and Relised i am missing on one side the little metal thing that goes between the two pins.

i pursume that stops them vibrating under heavy braking,

is it essential as i have never noticed till i replaced them ?

thanks

darc

They are anti rattle clips , can supply you a kit of clips and pins for £15 that does both calipers if you need them , don't have them available on there own

Just fitted those discs myself! not bed them in yet!! You talking about the big metal spring plate?(thats held down by the pins) or the small pin retaining clip (about as thick as a sturdy paperclip in diameter) that goes through the small holes in the ends of the pins???

you didn't actually specify either one!!! To be honest either will be quite cheap- even from a main dealer. Best to pop to the one in colchester, they should stock something like that. AMC Subaru colchester 08430220611, i'd call first to see if they have it in stock!

Brakes look great Darc.

Can I ask a question as I would like to change both disc's and pads, what was your work plan regarding the brake fluid i.e. take res cap off?, top up fluid? blled system?.

Just trying to get a feel for whats needed, calipers and discs removal look straight forward though.

I would take Ian up on his offer so you'll have some spare bits. We don't stock them here.
