Default Gold Brembo's or 8 Pot K-Sports

Which would you choose, both with DS2500 pads and 330mm grooved discs.

All opinions welcome.

Cheers Ben

Buy a named brand, AP, Alcon, Brembo and you wont look back.

8 pots good for carpark kudos, but in reality AP 4 pots are all you need.

Why pay twice the price of ksports for APs ?

Ksports worked 100% perfect for me all last year for the road and winning Time Attack. Done approx 12miles on mine now and love them.

For fast road use. Just wondering if the k-sports are any better than the brembo.

Good enough on track, with the correct pads.

As you say the brembo maybe good enough for fast road but if the k-sports are better then i might as well go for them. Agree??

Thanks for your help

you will be able to tick off the 'get good brakes' to-do item off your list for sure

Lets just say, you dont see many running anything other than the main brands in competition ask yourself why.

Buy cheap buy twice IMHO

i found that trying to source a reasonably priced set of calipers, and then a decent disk/pad combo made the brembos cost only slightly less than the k-sports

so i figured (for the sake of 150ish at the time) that i'd be be better off going for new

Nothing to do with corporate sponsorship there then.

Why spend twice as much when the ksports do an awesome job.

OK, Ive now got some K-sport Calipers complete with brand new DS2500 Pads, all I need is some discs to go with them.

Ive PM Ian at Godspeed, but thought I would just ask you guys in the knowledge what is available and where I can get them.

Thanks Ben

I'm curious to know , as you rate the K sports so highly , and the price , how come your using AP discs and not K sports ones ?

I think the design of the ap disc copes with the extreme heat slightly better Ian.
