Urgent Question: Flat tire due to nail, symetrical replacement needed?
Hi All
Unfortunately I hit a nail or sharp stone with my Impreza MY00 (GC8). I am in the second winter season with the wintertires. Question: If I have to exchange the front right tire (with nail). Do I also have to change the front left tire to keep the differential even balanced, due to the tire wear of 1-2 mm? Or do I even have to change all four wheels? Can the tire be fixed without the need to replace it? I am not sure about this but I need your quick response or suggestion, because I use the car on a daily basis for work.
Many thanks in advance for your clarification, Daniel

If it is punctured in the main tread of the tyre then just get it repaired - usually arund £10 at a local garage. If it is close to the sidewall they may not be able to fix - just take it in and ask.
If you end up replacing one then it shouldn't make too much differance if you have only worn 1-2mm off them.
