Default WRX 2 pot to STI 4 pot upgrade question.

I have a type RA (not sti) and the brakes are poor. I up graded the disks and pads and I am still not happy. I am now concidering changing the front and rear calipers for 4 pot front and 2 pot as in an sti. My question is will these calipers fit the disks I have or will i need bigger ones. Thanks.

You will need bigger discs to go with the 4 Pot calipers.

294/295mm.

Hi
No you will need the 294mm discs for the fronts , as well as new pads , the rear you will need the 290mm 2001 onwards WRX discs , the calipers do not fit straight on , you will need the mounting bracket kit I make , the rear 2 pot calipers were found on the rear of the Type R , and the rear of a 2001 onwards WRX

Price wise , I can supply you our grooved 294mm discs for £69 a pair , the rear 290mm grooved discs at £85 a pair , The mounting bracket kit for £39.

I can also supply you full kits including reconditioned calipers , a full front kit starts at £395 and a rear 2 pot kit complete for £375

Can also supply you various specs of pads depending on your driving style and if your going to be doing track day , pads vary a lot in performance

Cheers Ian

Not forgetting that you will need a set of 16 inch alloys minimum for these to fit under
