Default Alloy Wheel Refurb

Whats the best stuff to use to refurb my alloys after I have had the paint removed?

Bear in mind I will be having them powder coated and not just sprayed so need to be something that can withstand the heat.

Cheers

The best stuff to use is paint, we always advise against powder coating wheels as the heat involves weakens all wheels, fairly often to the point of failure with lots of OEM wheels

Thanks for that.

They are not OEM wheels thought they are Rota lightweights.

I may decide to paint them given that advice now.

What would you recommend to remove the current paint?

Nothing wrong with powder coating alloy wheels , most new wheels are powder coated from new, all sytners wheels are PC , if you have not got the fersillities to powder coat then you will have to wet paint them.

getting them powder coated is not a problem. Plenty of places in the area that will do them for around £25 a wheel.

Just want to find the best way to get the current paint of with causing any damage to the wheel.

Cheers

Most powdercoaters will blast them before they coat them anyway. I paid £140 for all 4 wheels to be done, that was blasted then coated.
