hi just wondered if any one out there could help just bought a wrx on a 03 plate and was wondering wot oil to use has i have just checked oil and its a bit low thanks in advance jay

 

Well it depends on what your after. Subaru recommend 10w40, you can get loads of good 10w40, Motul, Millers, Mobil 1, list goes on.

I use 15w50, its slightly thicker, some people might say not to good on cold start up as its thicker. Also I have found with the 15w50, it sounds quieter, I have had no problems with it whatsoever. I am using 300v Motul 15w50, not cheap, and I change it every 4 to 5 months, I know a bit over the top, but want to keep it clean.

Back to it. I'd say go for a good 10w40, like 300v Motul.
