New wheels for MY95?
#1
I have searched high and low on these forums for some thing regarding recommended wheel sizes, offsets and good wheels but there are so many it's impossible. Is it worth having an FAQ or sticky thread at the top to prevent threads like mine occuring?
Anyway I am making a few mods to my car, firstly cosmetic then engine mods. What 17" wheels do you recommend (Not GOLD cos they look far too tacky for words). I like either silver or graphite. My car is flat red and they have to go with it.
Next question is about brakes. Is it worth upgrading the 2 pots? What would you recommend?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
On the 2 pots - definately upgrade it's an essential mod, especially if you are looking at more power later. It's money well spent. Your car will be safer and faster, as you can brake later.
Re wheels I've got some good ideas but can you post a piccy of your car to give me a hint to what to suggest as looking good.
P1 anthracites might look good with red. Offset wise, everyone seems to say ET50 to 55, although 48 is recommended by some.
Personally I'd stick to ET50+ esp if you want to lower it.
Cheers

I think some OZ SuperLegerras would look great, what with their red graphics on the dark silver. Should look the biz on your red car.

Cheers for the replies dudes.
I want some silver or grey wheels. Have got a mid-level spoiler for it. Having the trim sprayed too. Recommend any wheels and prices with tyres?

I have been looking for the alloys and have narrowed it down to two sorts.
Either the Oz Superleggers or Compomotive MO's.
Anyone know anything about the compatibility of these wheels. Do I go for the 7 x 17 or 7.5 x 17? I don't want to find that the ride changes dramatically after getting them fitted.

ive a 95 wrx ive put super ls 7x 17 on.the ride is harder but youd expect that from the lower profile tyres anyway.the car handles much better now (not trakin). these wheels weigh 7.5 kilos only, the guys that fitted them didnt believe me when i said they had the rubber on too(they came in boxes).in anthracite they look the danglys on a silver car,not sure what would look best on a red one

contigo, im in the same position as you m8. Im looking to get the godspeed brake upgrade (http://www.godspeedbrakes.fsnet.co.uk) and am looking at some team dynamics monza 17s. I also need to know about offsets for these wheels if anyone can point me in the right direction please.
