Question

I've got an Jap MY98 WRX with the standard 2 pot brakes (I know, not the best...) and I was wondering if they have exactly the same discs and calipers as on the UK MY98 car or are they slightly uprated because of the extra power?
I ask this because when I recently had it serviced and the front pads were replaced, the garage had a bit of trouble getting hold of the correct pads because the first ones they got were apparently too small despite being specified as 98 Impreza Turbo pads (presumably UK spec ones). Could this be because those on my car are slightly bigger due to bigger calipers and if so could this also apply to the discs?

In 1998 there was a different 2 pot fitted for a short while, this is what you have got on your car. This was just prior to Subaru fitting 4 pots,I think the disc size is the same as the old 2 pot!! off the top of my head.
Pagid do the pads for both types of 2 pots/4pots
