Question

Can anybody give me some information about brake bleeding for a '95 Impreza Turbo with the standard 2 pot calipers?

What order do you bleed the brakes in? Rears first? opposite corners or what

What sort of easy bleed kit works best?

Any info gratefully received.

You need to bleed the brake furthest from the Master cylinder first, So the order goes something like: rear left, rear right, front left, front right.

As for a bleeding kit I can't help you, I always use the girlfriend method

Iain.

Thanks for the reply.

I'll give it a go this weekend if it's dry.

In the past I've used the Easy Bleed kit, the one that uses the spare tyre to pump the fluid thro'. Worked VERY well, you can use it on your own, and it gets rid of air in the system far quicker than any other method. I used to use it at work - was a mechanic at a Rover main dealer, and it was always borrowed by the other mechanics! In the end, I got the firm to buy some for the workshop, worked better than the expensive one the firm had!

Saves the hassle of the 2 man(or woman) brake pedal method, and no more argueing with the wife 'cos she came up when she should have gone down...with the brake pedal
