When I brought the wheels they were fitted with 215/40's but bloody split on the inside walls.
Instead of this size can I just put on 215/45's????

Hi mate - you need either 205 45 17 or 215 40 17.

Think people have used 215 45 17 but the two above are the norm. The 215 40 17 seem most common as you can get more choice of tyre in that size.

You might get slight fouling problems with that size, especially with a couple of fattys in the back !!
