replacing bridgestone tyres
hi all,
have recently purchased an 06 2.5 wrx...
want to replace all of the tyres, the car has bridgestone re050's on it...
ideally i'd like to stay with the same (unless someone has any better ideas!!)...
however, there seem to be a few different varieties of the re050... any ideas folks would be much appreciated!! (on blackcircles, it says there is an re050a that is for subaru?)
thanks,
ian b

re050's WASTE OF MONEY !
Buy some Vredestein Sessantas for probably 2/3 of the cost of the awful REO50's.

Bridgestone tyres generally are quite noisy.
I've had RE050's, but the best are the RE070's although they are "challenging" in damp or greasy conditions and especially moreso when cold
In the dry they are quite simply brilliant.
On my current 05 STI I've had
RE070's
Michelin PS2's
RE050's
Eagle F1's
I plan to try Sessanta's next

But back then I thought those and Toyo (T1R I think) were ****
Going back further again I found AvonZZ3 treacherous, infact they were so bad I had to take them off after about a month
In the past 6 years I've used the following:
Pirelli P Zero Assymetrico
Bridgestone RE040
Bridgestone RE050
Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3
Yokohama Parada Spec 2
Its a fine line between the Goodyear and the Yokohama, the GY having better wet weather grip, The Yokohama having the edge in the dry. The RE050 is not the best tyre available at the price. That said, don't skimp on tyres!!
