Default (standard) replacement for 2006 wrx brakes

Hi guys,

Got a quote today to replace my (coming on monday) 2006 wrx... pretty much £120 for the discs and the same for the pads (before VAT)...

Was wondering if there is a better option for less money without sacrificing performance... i'm sure i could buy a cheap set from halfords (not that i ever would of course!!), but i guess they won't be anywhere near as good as the original brakes?

So, any ideas for the fronts (and rears maybe)

Cheers,

Ian

Depends on use. I'm sure my braking needs differ greatly from yours.

Hi
I can supply you grooved front discs for £89 a pair , and our kevlar fast road pads for £55 a set , P&P is £15 , the pads are a fairly mild fast road pad , the first step up from a standard pad , so is good from cold , is quiet round town , but better when pressing on.
I can also supply you grooved rear discs , these are £109 a pair , with kevlar pads being £50 a set
If you want any advise email me or ring me on 01656 723060
Hope this helps
Cheers Ian

Hi Ian,

Pick the car up tomorrow so will be able to have the wheels off and take a good look at the condition then get in touch then.

To be honest, I won't be doing track days or anything like that, so would a more standard (than the 'fairly mild fast road') be better for my kind of use?

Many thanks for the reply,

Ian
