Has anyone fitted rear brembos to a classic??
Hi guys
have done the rear brembo conversion but one thing stumbles me rear handbrake shoes.... Got the bigger ones but they seem to foul the lip on the backing plate ... Do I need to change the backing plate also? I'm stumped

You remove the backing plate, and dispense with it. There are about 8 spot welds. Give it a clean up with a wire brush, then you'll see the spot welds. Drill them out with a sharp 8mm drill, then paint the lot with Hammerite smooth black.
FWIW, I did a "How to" on this about 18 months back
Usename might have been alcazar when I did it

Mine have been off for 18 months with no ill effect. TBH, the backing plates are a nuisance, as they can trap small pebbles between themselves and the disc. When the car moves with one trapped the disc and the backing plate combine to produce an AWFUL shriek.
