Well, maybe buy some 17inch rims and tyres first!

I've Just gone from 16inch Speedlines shod with 205/50/16 rubber (GSD3s) to 17inch OZ Ultraleggeras shod in 215/40/17 rubber (GSD3s again). It's too early too comment on ultimate performance as the tyres will need a little while to get bedded in, but what was immediately evident was how the car felt more planted, stable, and less fidgety! It definately handles the bumps better - I was expecting a deterioration in ride quality! Maybe my suspicions that my classic was under-wheeled and tyred for the beefy Tein suspension were about right?

BTW The OZs in graphite grey on a blue Impreza.........SWEEEEET!

Wish I'd done this earlier; classics seem to reallly like lightweight 17 inch rims!

Have you compared weights between the 2 wheels?

I believe the 17 OZ Ultraleggera are about 7kg a corner. No idea how much the Speedlines weighed. Sorry!

I thought ultraleggeras where just a cast design wheel, and not a true lightweight wheel....Also was told a while back by the motorsport division at demon tweeks that they flex between hub and rim....they talked me into some flow formed speedlines over the leggerars...

Ultraleggera - OZ - Inside the excellence since 1971

They are cast, but 7KG for a 17 inch wheel is very good. OZ's reputation is second to none - suspect a bit of salesman speak there, mate.

Will let you know if I have any probs though.

Plus, they are sooooo bling
