FRONT: T1R. REAR: POTENZA 070. STI. possible?
Hi.
I want to know what is the reason for the Subaru compay to announce that all the 4 wheels MUST be replaced to a same model of the tyre.
I'm planning to install two semi-slicks tyres (TOYO T1R) on the front axle and two Bridgstone RE070 tyres on the rear, in order to make the car less understeer and more over-steer tuning. The gear/Drivetrain is NOT DCCD.
The problem is that this is different model of tyres. the size of them is same. the grip isn't. Is that a problem to the drivetrain, gear or differencials of the car?
TY.

If you want to dial out the understeer, you will need to spend money on the suspension. ALK and all that.
Also is your allignment correct? Get it 4 wheel laser alligned first.
Sticking the suggested tyre setup on will only provide oversteer in the wet (especially near zero degrees).
