Default Largest width wheel under a classic?

Have 18 inch running 215/35

Will these be 7.5inch? width, is this the most sensible width or can you put up 8 inch width wheels on
on 8*18 what is the normal tyre profile?

I am looking for 18's that will fit over my Porsche Brake kit without the need for spacers - currently have old Speedline Corse wheels - had them for about 7 years

But 2 are buckled and 1 extra badly buckled - badly buckled on the rear and thats through normal driving - no crashing into potholes - mostly over the strips at racing circuits have buckled the wheels!

I've seen classics running 8x18 with 215/35 tyres but these look stretched. 225/25/18 are an alternative and I think Speedline Turini's may fit over the Porsche brakes, don't quote me on that though

Thanks
I'll look in more detail at these alloys - very similar to what I already have
They are quite pricey but will see if I can pick up under £230 each on 18's

Little bit of arch modding and you should be able to get 235/40/18s on.

Make sure the offset is suitable to clear the brakes and the suspension spring seat at the back.

I think these are sold to a lot of Scoobs
Would definately be looking at 235/40/18
May tram line a lot more though?

35 profile is really way too low anyway

Get a bit of tramlining from my RE070's 225/45/17 but the grip defo outweighs the downsides.
