EBC red with OEM Subaru discs?
My dad had his front discs and pads done a short while ago and the garage (subaru specialist) fitted Subaru discs and pads or so he thought. Now my dad needs new rear pads, but did not know what was on the front to get matching pads for the rear. He asked what the garage put on the front and they said EBC red stuff as he thinks these are good pads for Impreza's.
I have had a look at the discs out on interest and they are like a vinyl record's whereas the rear with Subaru discs and pads are smooth as a babies...
Also, after my dad had them fitted, he complained about them squealing and he phoned up the garage and they said he has had a few customers experience the same problem. All it is is the wearing in compound on the surface.
When my dad had the brakes does at a Subaru garage he never had this problem.
Just wondering whether that these pads EBC red should not of be used in conjunction with the Subaru discs?

They are rubbish so I'd avoid them. I had some and they were gone in under 3000 miles of regular driving with mine and had so much fade I had to double my braking distance towards if they got at all hot. Get some Brembo ones from Scoobyparts as they are a million times better, as are their discs.
