Default Anyone used a mobile alloy refurb company?

I am about to get a quote for refurb of 4 alloys that are scuffed to buggery and a little blistering. The quote is from a mobile refurb company - they come out in a LWB van with all the kit onboard, take 6 hours or so onsite and reckon they can do as good a job as a unit based company. Anyone got any experience of this? They do say the tyres stay on throughout but they get pushed back a little so the grinder can get to the rim - this worries me a little.

Probably a bit late now but...

My wife used a mobile refurb company for the wheels on her old Focus. The job was average at best, one wheel was a different colour and they didn't take the major scrapes out.

I on the other hand used a tyre retailer that sends your wheels away, for about a week, to do the job. My wheels came back and they were perfect. Exactly the same standard as the brand new ones they had in the shop.

I paid a bit more though.

Where abouts are you from? There is an alloy wheel place in Teesside where you can drop your car off in the morning, and get your car back in the afternoon with all 4 wheels fully refirbed to new condition

I decided not to risk the mobile refurb and went to Elitewheels in Reading. Cost me £300for all 4 doing (£60 more in total than the mobile one) and they are spot on. They had them for the best part of a week.
