Default Help ! Wheels don't fit over Brembo's on Classic !

Tried fitting my Brembo's today to my Classic and the bloody wheels don't fit over them by miles

They are 18" OZ Chronos with ET48 offset. I'd say there was about a 10mm gap at least between the wheel and disc so they nowhere near fit !

I was under the impression that most 18's would fit over Brembo's ?

What wheels will definately fit with Brembo's on a Classic in 17" or 18" as I might have to buy some new wheels now

Any advice ?

Just had a look at some of those and I quite like them

Any idea what my wheels would be worth ? They are 18" OZ Chronos pretty much in as new condition,no kerb marks with very good 215/35/18 Toyo T1-R's ?

From what i've just looked at,most of them are 8x18 with 225/40/18 tyres. Will they fit without rubbing the arches as I have KYB shocks with -30mm Eibach springs ?

Might be wrong but i think the ET for brembo's is 52 ,sometimes depends on the size & style of the spoke with ET48.

Its got little to do with ET, I run ET48 wheels with massive clearance. Its all to do with spoke design.

Are you sure yours are 7.5 x 18 mate ? I spoke to Westgate Tyres and they say that 7.5 x 18 won't fit over Brembos and they need to be 8 x 18 !

Also, they say that 8 x 18 may foul on the shocks and that some people need about a 3mm spacer. Anyone know anything about that as I don't want to be fitting spacers ideally ?

I have just been out and double checked and mine are 18 x 7 1/2 and 48 offset.

Its strange they say they wont fit over the brembos.

Thanks for that mate. I'd rather have 7.5 x 18 than 8 x 18 so that's good news. And you definately haven't got spacers fitted ?

No spacers. I had the wheels on for ages with just my four pots and then i added the brembos and the garage fitted them for me without any issues.
