I've just got my first scooby a 1995 'McRae' track car which has slicks and wets on 16inch and 17inch speedline alloys.

I want to change one set of tyres to road tyres as i am converting the car back to road legal.

In your experiance what are the correct size tyres for the respective rims? What make are best?

The car will be used for fast road and track when its too wet for the westie!!

16s are 205 50 16 and 17s size recommended by prodrive are 205 45 17 but most people run 215 40 17 (more choice).
