AFAIK these are same pad shape as AP 5570 caliper, so Alyn at ASPerformance 01914103770 will be able to supply Pagid RS 42 or 29 which you will find to be a revelation.

The Carbotech XP8's are fast road/track day pads so they will be fine.

Doubt if you'll be disappointed by any premium aftermarket pad (Pagid/Ferodo/Corbotech/PF/Mintex etc). Best to seek advice from someone like Alyn if you're unsure.

Personally I have good experience with the Pagid products both on price and performance and am disinclined to experiment with other makes when I have no need to.

Nice to see a company being honest about noise and dust. Often the case for track/race biased pads from any manufacturer, Pagid stuff seems pretty good in this respect.

I paid £207 + Delivery for for my XP8's for my Ap 6 pots.

I originally heard about these brakes on the MLR and was dubious but now I would not try anything else & yes I have tried Green/Yellow stuff & Pagid & DS2500 and none of these have been anywhere the CarboTech XP8's.

Might try the XP10's next time as I am going to try and do more track days.

Can't see why the rotors would be a prob, must be much the same as any other. As far as heat goes I'd have thought that depends pretty much on how hard you use your brakes.

Most [ MOST ] of the aftermarket, cheap brake sets use inferior metal for the discs rotors. Otherwise how could they be so cheap??

So AP Racing discs will be the benchmark for performance and all others will almost certainly come up short. It follows that the discs on K sport and similar will not be able to withstand the heat generated by Performance Friction Z and 01 or probably Ferodo DS3000.

At the moment we will supply DS2500 as firstly they are cheaper, than the PF option and secondly are unlikely to cause disc overheating and thus failure.

The other problem is that some pads are 18mm thick and the K sport originals are 17mm thick. So unless you have wear on the discs it is unlikely that Performance friction pads will fit anyway.

Got PF discs in my APs, supposed to be very good but I havn't had the chance to get them on track yet. Pagid 8018 shape is 17mm thick and will fit, Pagid 1903 is 18mm.

Performance Friction. This company does the nice 2 piece dimpled disc and pad conversion for the STi Brembo caliper and loads of other high quality brake stuff. The discs they do for the 330mm AP bells are pricey, you can recognise them by the short staggered grooves on the disc face. Alyn at ASPerformance reckons they are the DBs. They come ready heat cycled which saves a bit of trouble if you fit them with new pads that require an agressive bedding in procedure (eg Pagid RS42 or 29).

Good Choice on the Brake Pads, you will not be disapointed but make sure that you change to some decent brake fluid!!!
