Default new wheels and bigger brakes?

Hi

ive just got myself a new car- a classic '98 turbo

ive looked all over this site but cannot find a decent thread about it

I would like to fit 18's to the car with bigger brakes- can i fit 18's with out issue( rubbing etc) or is it better to go for 17's?

Which manufacturer of brakes do people prefer?

Thanks

Paul

The Godspeed 335mm upgrade kit with SD2500 pads for the classics is hard to beat IMO:

Subaru Impreza 335mm Brake Upgrade Kit - Using Mintex 1144 or Ferodo DS2500 Pads

Ian is a really helpful guy as well
