just about to change tyres and thinking of getting rid of the P-Zeors (which I must say are rubbish in the wet / damp stuff )
Reading loads on and the Toyo Proxes TS-1's seem to be favoured quite a bit ... but I'm worried about the increase in tyre width going from the stnd 205 45 zr17 to the 215 40 zr17
has anyone had any noticable difference with this change? or does the extra grip more than make up for it?!?!
cheers
Steve
p.s. is £90+vat bad for the TS-1's ?

Doesn't make much difference.
The 215 can rub in offset ET45 if your 4 up or fully loaded on hard cornering but removal of the plastic arch liners solves this on a uk car(jap cars don't have em anyway). If your wheels are ET50+ then I don't think you'll have a problem AFAIK.........
Cheers

Cheers Neil,
wheels are Prodive Speedline 17" - so no idea what the offsets on those are!????
dont often (if ever) have 4 up ... or heavy loads, so that shouldnt be too much of a problem.
thanks for the info - now all I've gota do is get some - no one has any in stock

Steve,
If they are Prodrive wheels then they will be ET50+ and you shouldn't have any problems with them.
Tyres Northampton last I heard were about 90 quid all in per corner for the Toyos - I got 215 40 17 Eagle F1 GS-D2 in Bracknell for 340 quid all in a month or so ago......
Good luck!!
Neil.
