00wrx cant find any alloys to fit help

Default 00wrx cant find any alloys to fit help

hi
ive got a w reg wrx classic model with 17" on which makes a rubbing noise passenger side when going fast round corners,
ive looked into restore classic mark one 16" but cant find anybody selling them i have a four pot on the front and help please

You can run 18"s even 19"s with the correct offset and tyre size.

If you want the original 16"s (6 spoke) you should be able to find them easily in the For Sale section of this forum. If you want them and cant find them then let me know I have a spare set.

hi
have found a set on ebay Gold Mk 1 Subaru Alloys 16" offset 53 5 stud but yet they are only 5 spoke.
will these fit and what are the wheels you speak of mate n how much
ive got 17" on at min but when i turn corner fast the passenger side rubs so im at a loss as to what to do.

The 5 spoke are for the pre '99 cars I think. The 2000 onwards had the 6 spoke. I prefer the latter.

There's a several poss explainations for rubbing. You need to check things like tyre size (ideally 205/45 or 215/40) and offset (anything from ET45 to ET 53 I think is best). Wheel width 7" to 7.5".

I guess if there's a prob with your dampers then this could also be a cause.

thanks for info m8 are yours 6 spoke then ? if so could you pm me size and what you would like for them etc

Could be the 5 spoke gold STi wheels which will clear 4 pots.


Think tyre size for these are 205/50/16

Mine are original fitment 16" 6 spoke wheels to clear 4 pots. They also clear my Brembos.
