4 pots have SUBARU on them and i don't think they were introduced until about 1999 ( i think) on UK models.

i thought so, i just found the ebc box which the existing pads came in so i typed the code into google and it came up with forrester/impreza pads.

are these brakes any good with uprated pads and discs? or should i save and go for a complete brake kit upgrade

what size are the wheels in the pic as from what i can see they look like 2 pot calipers so that should mean you 275 mm discs if you are still unsure phone crn and ask for some advice they are a very helpful company got mine from there he other month carnt beat there prices ether

just to check does your calipers have subaru on them

never had 2 pots, but going by what people say on here, they are terrible.
The Subaru 4 pots can be had for 150-200 quid on here with disc's and pads, and are considered a big improvement.

hope that helps.

2 pots aren't very good imo (my 93wrx came with them) and didn't inspire confidence, i changed to the 4 pots with standard discs,Black diamond pads, goodridge hoses and 5.1 fluid (brake stopper to come) and they are much better.

Avoid EBC (**** me even they don't recommend green stuff for 4wd and cars over 200bhp).

i take it need to keep an eye out for someone breaking a scooby with 4 pots to get hold of a set
