Default brembo discs and pads query

Hi I have a sti8 on oe brembo's there well shot so I'm thinking of replacing them with brembo performance front discs drilled £244.99 and brembo high performance brake pads £119.99 from scoobyworld. Just wanted to know if there any good, and also why there so much cheaper than the brembo's you would get from the dealers.
Thanks!!

Don't have any experience of this Brembo stuff (except noting they are expensive) but I would generally avoid drilled discs as they are prone to cracking, grooved is ok. I suggest you try Ian Godney (recently posted £130 pair grooved with 12 month g/tee against warping) or Alyn at ASPerformance for aftermarket grooved discs with either DS2500 or Pagid pads.

HI
My discs are currently £150 a pair for the front one piece grooved discs , or £295 for our grooved 2 piece discs and bells , there are laods of different spec pads available , if you ring me I can discuss different compounds available to suit your driving style
Cheers Ian

Hi
The 2 piece discs and bells are lighter so you have less unsprung weight , and as the bells are made from aluminium , they will disapate heat quicker so you get less heat transfer into the bearings , more importantly , as the discs can move slightly between the discs and bells when they get used very hard when expanding and contracting , it's nigh on impossible to warp them.
They are better than one piece discs , and when they wear down you only need to buy the outer part of the discs as you re-use the bells
Hope this helps
Cheers Ian

Performance Friction do a Brembo 2 piece replacement that is quite good.
Bit more expensive though
