Had my front disks (MY99) replaced under warranty yesterday due to loads of hairline cracks. I was told that new pads would need to be paid for by me - sounds reasonable.
Having now read the bill properly, I see I have been charged £48 + vat for fitting the front pads.
Given that they would have to remove the pads to replace the disks anyway, this doesn't sound right.
Should I complain about this?
Regards, Ade

Hi Ade
£48 for fitting brake pads? - I know costs are high but sounds to me like the dealer is biting both ends of the cherry here. He will claim labor for the warranty repair which will/should include time for remove/refit the pads. As the hairline cracks may well have added to the wear rate of your pads I would have argued over paying; full stop, and maybe then agreed to a discount rate on a new set of pads. Sounds a bit harsh to me tho :~/
