Default 225/45/17 vredestein ultrac sessanta HELP

Got the brigestones on now I have 2 questions that camKill could not answer.

1- Is it OK to have a pair of the above tyres on the back and Bridgstones on the front?

2- The bridgestones are 215's on 17's will the Vredesteins fit OK.

Thanks this is my 1st post.

What car do you have?
On a new age then you shouldnt have any problems (as long as they are all the same size), on a classic then yes you will have problems with the 225's.
Classic fitments on 17's should be either 205/45/17 or 215/40/17, outside this will give you grief without doing some bodywork changes (ie rolling arches etc)

Tony

Edited to put in that as below, never mix and match sizes, they should always be the same size, see above for the correct size for classic's (which im guessing you have) otherwise it knackers the diffs up as the rolling circumference is different.

Default 2004 wrx PPP

So it would be unadvisable to but the 225's on the back and keep the 215's on the front untill they wear out.?

Or could swap the front and rear wheels over? would that be ok?

Opting for this choice of tyre as v good reviews even though I have never heard of them. only £80

Toyos are cheaper though.

Moving house so cant afford to replace all 4 this month.

Cheers

No you cannot run 2 different sizes unless you want a bigger bill for replacing your differential, you need to run the same size all around, no mixing or matching, but its not advisable to run 225's on a classic model car but you can on a new age wrx.

I have 2004 WRX with PPP.

So as I am Skint I will have to go for the Toyo's 215's. Unless anyone knows of a better cheaper option for all weather and Hard wearing.

Thanks for everyones help. Very glad to be a new member.

So why isn't 'your mate' on here writing a review? I've used Camskill in the past and would have no hesitation using them again. Good price, service and quick delivery.

My mates don't bother with forums mate sorry if I've offended anyone not tried them but I stick to my local tyre garage . It's just bogs me that some had bad experiences but don't raise it am sure it worked for you but it's not for everyone may be my mate was the only one who was unfortunate this time plus for me I go straight to the garge if there were any issues no waiting no quibbles

No need to apologise, you've not offended anyone. It's a little strange when someone is writing a bad review on behalf of someone else. Mistakes can happen, if the tyres were defective did your mate contact Camskill and ask them to take them back? If he did what was their response? Nobody will take you seriously if you're having a poorly conveyed rant on behalf of someone else.

Thanks mate, yeah he got his full refund back! But in the end the time lost he won't get that back "points over seconds" lol.. That's the only bad thing, me rather stick to my locals less of inconvience.

225/45/17 are actually cheaper than 215/45/17 for many makes as it's a more common fitment.

Vred Sessanta currently in stock at Camskill in 225/45/17 at £55.55. Toyo T1-R (a far inferior tyre to the Sessanta) in 215/45/17: £56.65
