Default Impreza STI 1997 rear Sliders

I recently bought reconditioned calipers front and back for my 1997 impreza STI. I fitted the front with no issues but when it came to the back I ran in to some issues.

Below are the photos of the sliders that came off (dirty) and the reconditioned ones that I received (gold) When I let the company know they said the ones that came off are the wrong version for my car. They send me bolts and shims for the reconditioned ones. Problem is the pads don't seem to fit the reconditioned ones but fit the old ones perfect. Do they just need filled at the end or something to make them fit?

Hi
The pads are the same ones for both types of calipers , could it just be the plates fitted in the calipers are slightly out of shape ?
PM me your number and I'll ring you in the morning
Cheers Ian

Hi

The plates don't look out of shape, they just don't seem to fit the pads. On the old plates the pads fit perfect, that could be because of wear.

I sent you an email earlier today via your site, I will await reply tomorrow. If you need me to call you I will after work.
