Vibration from front wheels.
I bought some second hand wheels and tyres a few months ago, and when fitting them noticed a bit of vibration, and not just at certain speeds (65ish) as when they are unbalanced, but from about 40-50 upwards.
I have had all 4 wheels balanced (at Kwik Fit ) and it made no difference. I then swapped back to my old fronts and it's fine - so the problem is with the new wheels/tyres.
Any guesses what could be causing this?

Mine did this when my front wheel bearing was dying. On the ramps in gear the wheel moved visibly

P.S. A fellow WYIOC found he had "square" wheels when he did the same !

Hi
If they are aftermarket wheels it might be that they are missing or have the wrong size the spiggot rings fitted. These locate the wheel to the hub and if they are missing or too big the wheel will not sit central.

Exactly my problem... after 4 attempts of rebalancing they checked the rings and they were broken...
