Just that really, I think the new wrx runs 215/45/17, a few people have said you're better to use the 215/40/17 on the old shape car. Why?
When using the calculator on the link, it would seem that the 40's are a bit too low on profile, but then again the 45's might rub, what do I know?

I have 215/45/17 on a MY97, but, like everyone says, you do risk rubbing. Mine don't, but others report they do ... no idea why the difference.
215/40/17 are much closer to the original overall diameter, so if you have the choice, you are better off going for these.
When my current Bridgestone RE011 tyres wear out I'll replace them with 40 profile tyres (prob. Eagle F1's - had them on another car and loved 'em).
