Unhappy

anyone tell me what sort of mileage to expect from my MY01 fitted Bridgstone Potenza's ? I have only done 3k and the fronts are noticeably worn already, my old Man's taking the **ss cos my Scooby look's like eating tyres at a similar rate to his Integra.
(I dont drive the car that hard either at the moment, unless the wife's giving it a toasting behind my back)!

If they're RE010s or equivalant (i.e. the OEM fit stuff) then they will wear out very quickly. Once you get some decent rubber on there (Toyos, Bridgestone SO-3s, Goodyear Eagle F1s, etc.) then the wear rate won't be anywhere near as bad.

My MY01 came with RE011's.

I got about 9k from the fronts and would estimate around 18k for the rears (damage to the tyre meant they were changed early).

Wear on my tyres was fairly even across the whole tread, though quite a few people have found the inner edge of the tread tends to go first.

There have been a number of threads on this subject 8-15k seems to be the norm for these tyres, though when they get down to 3mm they become pretty hard to live with, tramlining is especially a problem.

I have managed to find one thread on this:

Hope this helps.
