Default wheels catching back arches. Please help!!

Just got my W reg classic Scooby and I 've fitted 17s off a bugeye model but they catch the back arches. What can i do to stop it? Any ideas anyone?
Annoyingly it had some horrible 18s on that caught slightly on the passenger side rear, but these 17s catch both sides..
Cheers guys

Hmm thanks but I don't think its catching the lip on the bodywork to be honest cos there's loooads of space around the front of the wheel. I reckon its at the back but its not really bad so am gonna drive it neway n ave a look tomorrow to see if theres any scraping marks.
Has any1 had wheels catching on the inner plastic arches before or owt similar?

It's the tyre sizes. Depending on which bugeye there were from, you either have WRX, 215/45/17, or STI 225/45/17.
If you get 215/40's it should help.

Ah i see. bugger!! Guess I should ave looked into what size tyres I needed before buying em!
The tyres on it are 215/45/17. If it is catching the inner arches might see about putting some thin spacers on the back, probly be cheaper than 4 new tyres!!

had the 215/45/17`s on my classic without issue but its an import and never had the rubber trims in the rear arches?

fit a set of rear camber bolts in and get an alignment check
