Default New Brakes/Pads But With Noise

Recently had new rear brakes/pads along with handbrake shoes fitted and ever since i've been having a noise which sounds like something rubbing together not humming like a knackered wheel bearing! I also sometimes get a metal pinging noise every now and again, I'm not sure if it's the front or back brakes that either noise is coming from

Any ideas?

Cheers

Was thinking it could be my calipers catching with the front pads wearing thin?

I fitted new discs on the back of mine not too long ago, and had an odd rubbing noise, it turns out that the back plate was catching the back of the disc, there's a lip between the disc surface and the handbrake 'drum' bit..... all i had to do was grind a small amount off, noise gone..... just a thought!!

Had brakes/pads looked at there not catching which makes me think it could be my front brakes needing changed! Can any1 try to explain to me the noise the brakes make when the pads are getting thin/low?

Cheers.

If you turn the steering on full lock and look through your wheels you should be able to see the pads in the caliper!!
If not most brake specialists will have a look for nothing and advise you how many miles you have left on them
