hi mate, this prob wont help much as i have a classic but i recently put 18s on, it is a little tight in the arches and without having coilovers i would have deffo needed spacers etc. are u running standard susp as it may be a bit of a squeeze for 18s ( again not 100% sure on ur model )
most ppl on here rate 17s over 18s , try searching for older threads as there are plenty in this section.
wheel bargains are hard to come across i can tell u, really depends how much ur looking to spend and what kind.
have u checked scoobyworld / funkypower.co.uk / wheel-base.co.uk / rimstyle.com. not a great list and certainly no bargains, but it might be worth lookin on there then if u find a style u like google the make n model n see what comes up?
or keep checking the for sale section on here as i have seen a few bargains hope this helps even a bit mate, i think they are one of the hardest things to buy!
good luck
