why are you looking at sti suspension? if you're upgrading, have a look at the apex/bc coilovers. I've just got rid of my tired sti suspension for a set and they are a whole lot better than the stock sti struts that were on before.
Check out other options too, double the price and you could have ast's, or add the same again and you could have ex-tc's

I did this, put sti shocks and prodrive springs on my 05 wrx, it handles much better although a little bit harsher ride, i am considerng putting prodrve springs back on the original wrx shocks just for a nicer ride, (Probly cos im getting old now lol)
I would go for the kyb replacments and some eibach or even prodrive springs as with the sti shocks your guaranteed for the back ones to start knocking after a while.
WIll be cheaper in the long run, think they are about 370 ish for a set: look here: https://www.scoobynet.com/suspension...e-springs.html

If you're sticking with sti though, give any of the main tuners a ring, as I'm sure they'll have a whole heap of stock sti struts and springs off customer cars that have upgraded.

i was having the same thoughts up until yesterday when i had Tein springs fitted to my WRX shocks. Really impressed with the difference, ride comfort has not changed apart from the largest of bumps (ie u can feel its stiffer when going over speed bumps) But the feel/handling.. amazed at the difference its made. Had the full setup done aswell which may be the main factor..
so thats my vote for lowered springs and wrx shocks! :-)
(Ps.. on 18" wheels 225 40 18)
