Default Copper grease on wheel Studs

Anyone else use Copper grease on their wheel studs, my father inlaw had his Seat Leon serviced and all the studs were greased. it just seemed odd to me.

Yes despite handbook recommendation to leave dry. Tighten to 65 ft-lb and recheck occasionally and no problems. Also you can get the nuts off when you want which isn't always the case if you leave them dry.

Its a must
Had many nuts in the past that have been stuck due to no copper.

technically it can affect torque, but with what i would consider pretty frail studs/nuts on the impreza, i would give them a little lube of some kind.

i have had to replace 2 separate studs on mine in 6 years!
