Careful, I had them on my Rover Vitesse a couple of years ago and although the intial grip was fine, after 5-6K miles, they became very suspect in the wet. You get what you pay for.

Paul,
I know the tyres you mean, They are the Hankook Ventus. The K102 is a silica compound high performance tyre with a similar tread pattern to the Toyo's. Traction rating is AA (excellent grip) and wear rating is twice that (last longer) of the other popular brands.
I mentioned these a while ago, I don't know about anyone elses experience but I find them great, in fact I run both my 00 UK Turbo a my P1 on these now!
Don't let the fact they are not a lot of money make you think they're second rate, I think Hankook have kept them a secret!!
All the tech stuff is on the Hankook website.
Hope this helps, anyone else tried them??

Steve F,
Re Hankook tyres.
I've looked at their web site and the tyres look good. Have u seen any independent tests on the tyres and do you know where you can by them?
Cheers
Alex

Who was the Korean manufacturer that brought out a re-badged Lotus Elan? (Kia maybe?) They put Hankook tyres on it, and it apparently handled like dog****, despite basically being an Elan. This was attributed to the tyres. Maybe it was several years ago, and the tyres have improved.
Maybe I'm talking crap...

Be aware I am no expert, just know these have performed well for me.

I had Hankooks on an AX Gt 10 years ago. They were a really excellent tyre, good grip and lasted forever. Can't comment on the tyre model, but don't discount the brand.
edited to say - Just had a set of F1's 215 45 17 for £90 each.(this morning) Shop around you may get the F1's cheaper
