Possible sidewall damage..?
Just reversed off the drive and as I pulled away I noticed a strange noise from n/s/f..! So I pulled up (having done ~30m at 10mph) and my n/s/f GY asymmetric is virtually flat..!!!
Reversed back down road and pulled on drive. Immediately pumped it up to 30psi and I'm going to check it before going to bed to see how fast it's loosing air.
My concern is that it's going to go flat overnight and potentially damage the sidewall..!
Also, could driving the short distance at the speed I drove damage the sidewall, I noticed a thin rubber arch on the road where I drove in/out..?!
I know it was fine lunch time as I'd been out for a bit of a run and remember looking at this wheel on my return thinking they're bloody filthy..

Cross your fingers and hope it's the valve or valve seating area in the wheel that's @ fault.
IMO it "should" be OK, assuming no massive nails or screws are found in the sidewall. Either way, even if it holds pressure overnight, take it off and check it out before attempting anything spirited.

Well it lost 10 psi in about an hour and since I didn't have a spare/space saver to hand jacked car up and stood on axle stands to save it sitting on the sidewall overnight..!
I'm sure it's a nail or screw, as I recall seeing something the day before as the wife reversed off the drive. I hoped it was a stone as it looked quite big (i was looking out of upstairs window at the time). Completely forgot about it until tyre went flat..
Anyhow iirc it was in the middle, so should be repairable.
My only concern is driving the short distance (at <10mph) with it virtually flat causing damamge to the sidewall..?
I suppose the fitter will be able to tell if there's any damamge once it's off the rim for repair..?
Got my space saver coming over this morning (was in storage at parents
), only I'm not sure it will go over my AP 4 pots/330..? May have to put it on the rear. Not such a bad thing, as they're about due for rotation, this would also put repaired tyre on the back, just in case..!
Feckin' cars..!
