One tyre completly bald...
Just one wheel..the passenger saide front wheel...completly gone on the outer lip..the other tyres are ok...
Could it be the tracking at fault...its just VERY odd that this has happened to only one tyre...and so quick..
is this a tracking fault? or an issue with the tracking...the tyres have only covered near 4000 miles...since new...

Front nearside tyre wears on the outside edge with the standard geometry. If the tyres are shot in 4k either you're doing track days or driving extremely hard on the road. A fast road geometry setup may help. Bob

It's a poor geo setup from the factory(but probably within factory spec!!).
My '05 Wrx did something similar within its first year, got the front camber set to -1degree and the toe to zero, much better for a daily driver(also did about 20 laps around The 'Ring with the same geo,no probs regarding tyre wear)
Find out who your nearest Subaru specialist and get a proper alignment done.
Try Mocom in North Weald,I did a 500 round mile trip to get my FSTi mapped by Zak,top geezer!!Plus he did have an offer on regarding geometry setup

I'd say tracking for sure. Same happened on the family car, speed humps or a pot holes are a nightmare for tracking. Only one tyre (which was also pretty new) down to the canvas in less than 200 miles on the inside edge. Not happy but a tracking check confirmed the worse and was adjusted accordingly.
