Default A Wider Track on a Classic ????

Can you fit the wider rear track from an 06/07 impreza to a 96 classic???

I have seen the.....

wider rear track from an 06 on here for sale along with the
Anti Roll bar and links etc on here too.

Would it work or does it throw everything right out and ruin the car ??

PS> it's for my Wide arch kit i have fitted, so that it sits correctly.

i was told that it would fit a while ago, but could not find anybody to confirm it ??

actually i have just had a brainwave, i posted on 22b.com about using the adjustable rear bars to push the wheels out and was told its a no go due to the shafts being a bit to short?

if newage shafts are longer and fit? might be do-able?

I thought about going to the wider track as it comes with beefier wheel bearings.

However what seems like a simple swop over becomes very expensive from what I can see.

You would need;
1. Wheel and tyres for PCD 114
2. New Suspension to fit different hubs.
3. New hubs/support thingy for set up.
4. Brakes to fit these hubs or adaptors to fit hub supports?
5. As mentioned above would it require different shafts as well?

Add all that up and it starts getting expensive.

iirc i do recall seeing pics of a car that had been converted on the rear about 5 years ago, it was a euro car if i remember rightly

minty have you tried some spacers on the rear yet?

i have been running 6mm spacers on the rear of mine for a while now with no issues
