Default How do i refurb my 4 pots calipers?

Hi guys,

My front 4 pots were ready for repainting so tonight i have taken them off and give them a good wash and wire brushing ready for paint stripping tomorrow,

The thing is im thinking about refurbing the seals while they are off as i hear the kits are only about £20, has anyone refurbed theirs and can anyone guide me step by step how to renew the seals and other parts included in the kit?

I have done lots of searches but cant find the step by step instructions i desire

Please Help

I'd recommend renewing seals and dust covers..just finished doing mine this weekend and its made a big difference(1 of my pistons was sticking on)not now..its pretty straightforward using the guide

the only hard part is the cleaning which took up the bulk of time.Car was off the road for 4 days which included all cleaning and painting, but you could probably do it quicker if you put more hrs in

good luck

Unless you have access to a polishing shop then they are cleaned up in about ½ hour

well mines been of the road for a week now, all calipers are off as well as all the disc, im getting the calipers shot blasted before i renew the seals and dust covers then its on with the paint, its turning into the usual problem, you start by simply planning to give them a fresh coat of paint and before you know it your overhauling the car lol

Now that the rear calipers are off im thinking about refurbing their seals and dust covers now, they look different to the front, is it the same process?
