Default Cleaning inside of wheels

I have some standard Subaru wheels that could do with a bit of tlc on the inside,is it worth rubbing both mating faces (cars and wheels) or just slap them on and get them balanced.

cheers

I usually put a wee bit of copper ease grease on the mating surfaces. Just to ease removing them in the future. Don't get any anywhere near the disc surface though!

Cheers what about getting rid of dirt and grime is it worth just using something like detergent to clean them up.

Yeh I reckon that would do it, I used to used a bit of Fairy on the wheels on my old MX6 and it worked a treat. There are other things on the market like Wonderwheels I think that are intended to remove brake dust but a bit of soapy bubbles always worked fine for me

fairy liquid...

Dear god, get yourself over to Car Care and you will find that most people advocate some form of non acidic wheel cleaner and a decent wheel brush.
