225/40/18's on a classic

Default 225/40/18's on a classic

has anybody ever tryed this size tyre on a classic and if so where do they catch. my car is a type r just for trackdays and i need to get some trackday tyres and cant get them in my road tyre size 225/35/18 i need to stick to 18's to clear my k-sport brakes as i went for the 356 8 pot kit. Any help would be great.

will depend on your suspension, i had 225/40/18 on my classic wrx it had been lowered 25-30mm and it rubbed on inner arch on nearly every tight corner, and taking more than 2 passangers was a big no no

I had 215/35/18 on mine, lowered on coil overs and it didnt rub or catch on anything............. until i changed my wheels and now it does! I assume the new wheels are a different offset or something?
